Frequently asked questions
- What does a Mercury repower cost in Ontario in 2026?
- A Mercury repower at Harris Boat Works typically runs from about $11,000 CAD for a small portable swap on an aluminum tiller boat up to roughly $40,000 CAD for a 250 to 300 HP Pro XS on a bass or walleye rig with full rigging. The number depends on HP class, control type, gauges, and whether the existing rigging can be reused.
- What does the price include?
- Our quote includes the Mercury outboard in CAD, install labour, standard rigging components for that HP class, a Mercury OEM propeller allowance, a lake test on Rice Lake, and pre-delivery inspection. Trade-in credit and financing are added after.
- Are install and rigging separate?
- They are itemized on the quote. The motor is one line. Install labour is one line. Rigging components such as controls, harness, gauges, and steering adapters are itemized so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
- Do you charge for delivery?
- No. HBW is pickup only at Gores Landing on Rice Lake. We do not arrange long-haul delivery. Most customers pick up after the lake test or trailer the boat home directly.
- Why are some HP classes the same price?
- Mercury prices the 90 ELPT and 90 ELPT Command Thrust the same in CAD. The 115 EFI and 115 Pro XS run very close. Choice of model inside a class is about gearcase, weight, and use, not always price.
- Do you finance the repower?
- Yes, through DealerPlan. Current promotional Mercury financing is 5.48% APR through December 31, 2026 OAC. Standard rates are 8.99% APR under $10,000 CAD and 7.99% APR over $10,000 CAD. Minimum financed amount is $5,000.
