Where Vaughan Boaters Launch and Why HBW Handles Their Repowers
Vaughan is inland with no nearby public launch. Local boaters trailer either north to Lake Simcoe via Highway 400 (Innisfil, Keswick) or east to Rice Lake via 407/115. Concord, Maple, and Woodbridge boaters tend to default to Simcoe; some venture east for the Kawarthas.
The drive to Rice Lake is 80 minutes via Highway 400 south → 401 east → Highway 115 north, or via the 407 to skip city traffic. The 400 northbound on Friday afternoons in summer is brutal; reverse it for midweek HBW trips and you get the calmest 80 minutes you'll spend that week.
